Lithostatic is a geologic term that references stress and pressure exerted by a mass of rock on another rock near it. Thrus the stress that the later experiences is not its own, but it was passed down to it. In this work the second hand stress and pressure is explored and how it impacts women's bodies directly, and leads them to seek healing and refuge in Zar/Tanbura ceremonies.
